STEPHEN LAMBERT

 

BIOGRAPHY

Stephen Lambert was born in 1964 and brought up in Surrey. He went to Reigate College of Art and Lincoln College of Art, specialising in illustration.

As a child he spent long days painting with his grandfather and continued to paint with him when he was at art college. Since leaving college he has had a variety of jobs but is now illustrating children's books full time. He has also moved several times; from London to the Yorkshire Moors and then to Cornwall. He has done several series of wood engravings and especially enjoys painting and drawing rural and countryside subjects. 1n 1998 he won the Smarties bronze award 0 -5 category for Secret in the Mist.
